Over the open water a Great Blue Heron in her slow-flying glide descends to her nest. A streak of plumes in dark contrast to her slate feathers give her the appearance of a masquerade dancer. Her outstretched wings are mimicked in the tango, her strutting feet in the quickstep, but no figurante can compare to her upright stance and natural grace.
